They use thing like the dime sized pots, ceramic pickups and Chinese pot metal bridges, all to shave off production costs. Fenders won’t have that problem. If it’s good enough to put the Fender name on it, it’s going to have better QC than the typical “cheap Chinese factory instrument”, and it’s going to have better parts.
Dec 9, 2018 · Ceramic vs. Alnico. You often hear that the sound of a pickup is dominated by the choice of magnet used in its construction. Alnico is nice and warm and great for blues. Whereas Ceramic is used in metal as it sounds tight, loud and cool. So we often hear.
The neck is chunky, much thicker than any other Fender neck I've used, but plays nicely and feels good despite the weird construction. The blank tele headstock holds some pretty cheap looking-and-feeling tuners, but they get the job done. So like I said, I'm pretty pleased overall. Is it as good as a $1500 Fender? Nope. Is it as good as a $300
Jan 18, 2013 · I'm having a hard time deciding who makes the best quality aftermarket OE Fenders. Found a set for $258.00 to the door from "Replacement Brand" thru a company named DriveWire. Thier pieces are billed as Galvanized Steel and Electrostatic Primed, with 500 to 1000 ours of weather testing. This sounds good, but I don't want soda cans for fender.

Quality of that Era is all over the place. Some of them pretty solid and some of them current entry level squire quality. Hardware and electronics might need some attention but sound quality is classic fender. The Mexican fenders in the past 10 years are better and actually quite impressive but have gone up significantly in price as well sadly.
Yeah I was gonna do that just wanted to know quicker because the seller hasn't messaged me back and it's been a while. I read there were some fender guitars in the 80s that were Chinese made but still said fender, just wanted to know if there was anything like that in 2011 and if these guitars are good
Feb 4, 2022 · With the black plastic fender liner rivets, you can get away with cheapo rivets You can get rivets are say Harbor Freight with an inexpensive rivet tool. For Fender Flare clips, stick with the OMIX 11609.41 or OEM clips. Do know that there is a difference between the fender flare clips used for a JL/JT and those used with a JK.
Feb 23, 2007 · Too good. When the Chinese CV line came out about 10 years ago and started getting good press Fender suddenly started selling the Chinese Fender "Modern Player" line for twice the money since they said "Fender" on the headstockbut of course they were built at the same factory by the same people. CV for the win.
If you’re patient and buy used you can MIA guitars for reasonable prices. In the past year or so I’ve paid $550 for an SG Special, $600 for a 1965 Epiphone Olympic Special, $750 for a Highway 1 Tele with Fender HSC, $850 for a MIA Strat with HSC. I bought a MIM Fender Tele with Fender HSC for $350.
